Christopher Oka

Christopher (Chris) Oka is the Curriculum and Training Manager with the Societal Impact Group (SIG) team. He completed a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Arizona in 2017 and a M.Ed. in Counseling with an emphasis in Student Affairs from Northern Arizona University in 2019. Chris is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Leadership and Innovation at Arizona State University. Before joining the team, Chris worked for the Thrive Center managing peer-led support and outreach services centering the identities and experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students, first-generation college students, students with high financial need, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities, and students on academic probation.
